From food to medicine: Our Story

Bodhi Greens began as a dream—a vision to create a space where food is medicine. Founded in 2017 in the heart of Dharamshala, our journey started with a simple belief: that plant-based, wholesome food has the power to transform lives.

The founder- Chef Varun, is a culinary artist. His passion for cooking was born in Dharamshala’s vibrant kitchens and deepened through professional training at Sayuri Healing Food Academy in Bali. Inspired by his personal journey of healing through a whole food plant-based lifestyle, our Chef set out to share the joy and nourishment of conscious eating with the world.

From the beginning, Bodhi Greens has been about more than food. Every dish is prepared from scratch using premium, locally-sourced ingredients. Varun’s father, Mr Tirath Ram Sharma, is a dedicated Tofu maker, and also makes Granola and all the nut butters at the central kitchen in Kangra. The factory is also a stock room for all our organic products including beans, black rice, millets, seeds and nuts and various other ingredients

Even our sauces, gravies, cheeses, and breads are all homemade using 100% whole food ingredients, reflecting our commitment to quality and sustainability. Over the years, we’ve grown into a thriving community—a place where people from all walks of life come together to enjoy flavorful meals that honor the earth and its living beings.
